Kelly Majewski, Partner

Kelly Majewski is a landscape urbanist and designer with over 13 years of experience transforming the urban environment. Her work has included local, national and international projects in a variety of scales and markets, from large mixed-use, civic, corporate, and park projects, down to an outdoor furniture line. She is known for her ability to create overarching visionary urban and landscape master plans, rich site-specific landscapes, and for successfully managing and detailing complex projects from beginning to end. She has successfully collaborated with many high-level clients, architects, cities, engineers, and communities to create well-loved, memorable spaces across the country and beyond.

Prior to co-founding Superjacent, Kelly was an Associate Principal at Melendrez where she headed up the design and management of multiple local projects and provided design oversite for many others. Her previous eight years were spent at the internationally known landscape architecture firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol where she was responsible for a wide variety of projects and design efforts during her tenure. Kelly also spent time in London at Gustafson Porter working on the SEEF Lusail Waterfront district project in Doha, Qatar. 

Christopher Torres, Partner

Chris Torres is a landscape urbanist with 7 years of experience creating urban landscapes in local and international contexts. He brings a strong research background to projects ranging from urban and ecological systems to site specific interventions. His experience utilizing emerging technologies in landscape architecture, urbanism, and public art creates engaging and memorable contemporary environments.

Prior to co-founding Superjacent, Chris was an Associate at Rios Clementi Hale Studios, where he held key roles in many large scale projects. He was a consultant for Walt Disney Imagineering, SOM and the public art program at LA METRO. He was a visiting researcher of urban design at QUT in Australia, graduate instructor of Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Planning and Geography at UC Berkeley, and creative director of the GROUND UP Journal. He is actively involved in research through Proyecto MegaAgua, which identifies water assets and develops innovative technologies to allow for increased potable water availability in the global market.

Tony Paradowski, Partner

Tony Paradowski is a landscape architect and urbanist with over 25 years of experience creating public and private projects from concept to completion. Initially trained as an architect, Tony’s expansive view of design pushed his interest beyond architecture to engage the urban and natural context. His enthusiasm and passion for design are visible in everything he does.   

Prior to co-founding Superjacent, Tony was a Senior Associate at Rios Clementi Hale Studios leading interdisciplinary design teams on a wide range of projects for over 16 years. Tony led a team of architects, landscape architects, and consultants to create Grand Park, a 12-acre world class park in the heart of DTLA. The project has received multiple local and national design achievement awards and has been featured in publications around the globe. In addition, Tony has provided design leadership on various civic, institutional, mixed use and park projects including the Chess Park in Glendale, Columbia Square in Hollywood and LAC+USC Medical Center.
